Miami never disappoints when it comes to unforgettable nights out.
High above the usual street-level spots, there are all these rooftops that make this city so unique.
And as you already know, I am on a mission to discover the best of them.
I recently went on a tour around the town to find the rooftops with the best views. You can check it out here.
But this time, I wanted more than a view, I am more about enjoying it in the best possible way.
That’s why I decided to book a table at Giselle. It’s said to be the top luxury spot in Miami, and I’m going to see if that’s true for myself.
1. The View
Well, you shouldn’t be surprised I started with this. I’m all about the wide picture of the city I can enjoy while enjoying a nice cocktail and something good to eat.
So, Giselle has passed in this category. Definitely a reason to update a guide I made for first-timers in Miami (be sure to check it and add this one to the list!).
Giselle offers an experience that’s hard to match. Perched high above, it gives you the sensation of being on top of the world.
The pictures taken here are epic. Every moment feels like a movie scene.
2. Exclusive Atmosphere
Giselle is a unique dining spot that’s just an elevator ride away. Once you reach the top, you find a place that’s stylish yet welcoming.
It’s quieter than a club, with just the right music and a laid-back crowd.
When you get a table here, it feels like you’re part of an exclusive Miami group. It’s the sort of place where dressing up a little just adds to the experience.
And you should know there is a dress code. I checked it before booking to don’t get embarrassed.
“We do not allow casual attire, clothing with rips, tears, or any form of distressing, oversized clothing such as T-shirts and pants. Additionally, our dress code policy prohibits beachwear, tank tops, shorts, baseball caps, flip-flops, and sports jerseys.”
And I get it, being in here dressed up for a beach or hanging around in the ‘hood just doesn’t fit.
3. The Menu is Filled With Luxury
First of all, I made a decision that I won’t focus on prices at all. You know, a place like this can’t be cheap.
The menu has a lot to offer. It’s not easy to make a choice. So I asked the waiter for his favorite dishes.
He suggested the Japanese A5 & Caviar. It’s an interesting combination of Wagyu beef and famous Russian “fish eggs” that cost more than gold.
The meal was $300. And it was worth the price. I never had something like this in my life. Also, it’s the feel of luxury that makes the whole experience better.
The next meal I ordered was the Chilean Sea Bass. It had a miso glaze and came with eggplant and bok choy. It tasted amazing. And you don’t have to spend as much as for the previous meal. The price is $52.
I also tried the Wagyu Dumplings. They had soy sauce and sweet potato in them, and they were good with the smoky bonito flakes on top.
So, with the $26 for the last one, the whole course was nearly $400. Keep that in mind if you are planning a date here. I can easily cost you over $1,000. But, if you want to take her to a special place, well this is the one!
And I wasn’t so interested in desserts that night, I was more into testing some cocktails, but Caviar & White Chocolate Gelato is surely something I will keep in mind for the next time I get here.
4. Premium Cocktails
I started the night with something light, the “11:11 Wish” cocktail. It was vodka, Prosecco, strawberry, citrus, and cotton candy, all for $18.
It was a fun drink, not too sweet, and the cotton candy melting into it was a cool touch that got people talking.
As the evening went on and we got into the main courses, I went for a stronger drink. The waiter suggested “Giselle’s Treasure,” which was a mix of Don Julio 1942 Tequila, Codigo Mezcal, Grand Marnier, cinnamon, and lime.
It came out in a smoking treasure chest with a shot on the side and cost $72. Quite a hefty price for a drink. But trust me, it makes you feel special.
I just had to try it and make my evening unique. But those of you who don’t want to spend a weekly salary can still have a great time with less expensive cocktails, most of which are around $20.
5. Service That Makes a Difference
We all got used to waiters and hostesses being friendly and all, but this place brought it to a whole new level.
You know, the feeling is amazing when there is always someone around you focused on ensuring you are having the best time of your life. That’s what I felt while sitting in Giselle.
The service was great because they paid attention to details. My water glass was always full. The meal had good timing. There was no rush or long waits.
The whole staff worked well together. They made sure my evening was special. It was more than just a meal. It was a memorable experience.
And I will go back to what I said in the beginning, that I felt like being on the top of the world here. Well, all these people here, they really made it real.
If you are having a hard time at work, filled with stress and tasks you hardly managed to complete until the end of the week, this is the place to be on a Friday night to forget all that.
6. The Vibe
Giselle has a special feel right when you enter. It’s a place to see and be seen.
The music is good. It makes you want to move.
People are happy and enjoying themselves. There are locals and tourists. All here for a good time.
People are laughing and celebrating. The place is stylish, but not in that snobby way. The whole vibe is quite chill and relaxed.
The night gets more exciting as time goes on. You feel like you are part of the city’s light.
The food and drinks are reasons to come. The vibe makes you want to stay.
7. It’s an Award-Winning Place
Giselle Miami has really made a name for itself.
It’s won the Open Table’s Diner’s Choice Award 2023, which shows diners love it.
The Miami New Herald’s “Miami’s Favorites” Poll 2023 gave it GOLD for being the best spot for a date night.
It also got SILVER for being one of the best new restaurants and for outdoor dining.
The Miami New Times Reader’s Poll 2023 also recognized it in several categories like “Best New Restaurant” and “Best Late Night Dining.”
It’s clear that Giselle isn’t just about good food – it’s about the whole experience.
And regular people love it as well as professionals. I’ve checked reviews on popular platforms.
Almost all reviews are positive. For example, this one confirms what I told you about the service:
“I like the food too much and the ambiance and the service was so professional especially Andrew we want to thx him about choosing the best dishes”
Final Thoughts
After spending an evening at Giselle Miami, it’s not just about the memories. It feels like you’ve been part of the city’s life.
The awards and recognition are nice, but what really stays with you is the flavor, the sights, and the fun.
Giselle isn’t just a restaurant but a place where you can feel the spirit of Miami in everything.
You don’t just visit Giselle – you live it. That feeling stays with you well after you leave.
